2002-03 Cabinet Position Descriptions |
| The
Cabinet consists of nine positions, two Co-Presidents, two Co-Vice
Presidents, the Secretary, the Treasurer and three at-large members.
The positions are described and defined here in. |
CO-PRESIDENT,
MANAGEMENT
- Secure
appropriate meeting places for the Cabinet and General meetings.
- Schedule
and preside over Cabinet and General meetings.
- Represent
Pride at other school and community meetings and functions.
- Assign
duties to Cabinet members where appropriate.
- Maintain
a basic knowledge and awareness of all cabinet positions and
their activities.
- Research
and complete all documentation for Pride operation. Incorporation
forms for example.
- Assist
all Cabinet members when possible.
- Attend
all Pride meetings & functions possible.
- Sign Pride
checks along with the Treasurer and other designated members.
- Solicit
volunteers for the Nomination and Audit committees.
- Manage
recognition program.
- Create
general Pride documents.

CO-PRESIDENT, FUNDRAISING
- Act as
managing Co-President in his/her absence.
- Manage
the fundraising program.
- Develop
strategies for fundraising.
- Coordinate
all fundraising activities.
- Procure
and maintain the inventory of saleable goods.
- Chair the
fundraising committee.
- Attend
all Pride meetings & functions possible.
- Sign Pride
checks along with the Treasurer and other designated members.
- Liason
to the school administration for fundraising requests.
- Keep the
General membership appraised of fundraising status.

CO-VICE
PRESIDENT, MEMBERSHIP
- Act as
President in the absence of Co-Presidents
- Chair Membership
committee.
- Develop
strategies to add new members and retain current members.
- Develop
strategies to inspire attendance at general meetings.
- Work with
ERHS volunteer coordinator to develop in school membership participation.
- Maintain
the membership database ensuring cabinet members have a current
copy.
- Attend
all Pride meetings possible.
- Perform
duties as assigned by Co-Presidents.
- Keep the
General membership appraised of status.

CO-VICE
PRESIDENT, PUBLICITY
- Act as
President in the absence of Co-Presidents.
- Establish
and maintain relationships with the local media.
- Manage
the publicity program.
- Develop
strategies for publicizing Pride functions and activities.
- Develop
and maintain a checklist of items required for a publicity campaign.
- Work closely
with Co-President, Fundraising and event chairpersons to ensure
any special publicity needs are provided.
- Attend
all Pride meetings possible.
- Perform
duties as assigned by Co-Presidents.
- Develop
annual marketing plan.
- Keep the
General membership appraised of marketing plan status.

TREASURER
- Maintain
Pride checking account.
- Maintain
special accounts.
- Oversee
scholarship funds.
- Ensure
bills are paid on time.
- Manage
all tax issues.
- Maintain
a comprehensive record of all financial activities.
- Sign checks
along with other designated Cabinet members.
- Attend
all Pride meetings possible.
- Perform
duties as assigned by Co-Presidents.
- Create
and maintain committee budgets
- Oversee
the Finance committee
- Keep the
General membership appraised of Pride's financial status.

SECRETARY
- Perform
all Cabinet administrative duties.
- Develop
and maintain Pride official files.
- Record
and disseminate the minutes of both.
- Perform
duties as assigned by Co-Presidents.
- Attend
all Pride meetings possible.

AT-LARGE
MEMBERS
- Represent
Pride at other school and community meetings and functions at
the request of the Cabinet.
- Lead Pride
projects not directly related to another position at the request
of the Cabinet.
- Perform
duties as assigned by the Cabinet.
- Attend
all Pride meetings possible.
